2007 Porsche Cayman — a/C is cold on the highway but warm at stoplights

2007 Porsche Cayman S, about 127,500 miles. The A/C works well with road speed but gets noticeably warmer at long lights, then cools again almost immediately once moving. Does that point more toward airflow/fan behavior than refrigerant level?

If it were in my driveway, loaded-suspension checks on the 2007 Porsche Cayman catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. When does it actually happen? Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Move a coil or plug on the 2007 Porsche Cayman if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2007 Porsche Cayman, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2007 Porsche Cayman in San Antonio with 127,500 miles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2007 Porsche Cayman catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

OP update: scanned the 2007 Porsche Cayman again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Move a coil or plug on the 2007 Porsche Cayman if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'll poke at it this weekend.
