2007 Porsche Cayman — clutch engagement changed after a long traffic commute

2007 Porsche Cayman S, about 74,000 miles. After a hot stop-and-go commute the clutch engagement point felt different, but it returned to normal later. No slipping at full throttle. What would you inspect before assuming the clutch itself is failing? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2007 Porsche Cayman owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. Do that first. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
