2007 Porsche Cayman S — anyone else: Would you pay more for documentation than lower mileage?

Comparing two older enthusiast cars: one has lower mileage but thin history, the other has higher mileage with years of invoices and owner notes. Assuming both inspect well, how much value do you put on records? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2007 Porsche Cayman, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2007 Porsche Cayman in Ohio. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2007 Porsche Cayman in Ohio, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “anyone else: would you pay more for,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
