2013 Infiniti G37 — blower works on some speeds but not others

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. Cabin fan works normally on certain settings and then cuts out or changes speed unpredictably on others. Before replacing the blower motor, what should be checked in the resistor/controller circuit? Mostly looking for the right next step.

Log the conditions before you spend. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2013 Infiniti G37 does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “blower works on some speeds but not,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Capture voltage while the 2013 Infiniti G37 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2013 Infiniti G37 in Connecticut. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2013 Infiniti G37 and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “blower works on some speeds but not,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
