2013 Infiniti G37 — infotainment became glitchy after an OTA update — trying to narrow this down

2013 Infiniti G37 xS, about 165,500 miles. After a software update the screen occasionally reboots and one saved setting keeps resetting. Is there a normal post-update reset procedure owners should try before booking service?

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2013 Infiniti G37 in Washington DC, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “infotainment became glitchy after an ota update,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If it still isn't clear on the 2013 Infiniti G37, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2013 Infiniti G37 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Asking because it changes the advice: Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2013 Infiniti G37 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. No need to make it theatrical. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
