2013 Nissan 370Z — online auction photos barely show the underside

BrakeBuilderCommunity StarterMar 29, 20262013 Nissan 370Z TouringSan Diego
2013 Nissan 370Z Touring, about 93,000 miles. Auction listing has lots of cosmetic photos and records, but not much underneath. For an older enthusiast car, what questions or photos would you request before bidding remotely?

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2013 Nissan 370Z so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Sleeping on the number either way.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2013 Nissan 370Z quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Yes, with one caveat: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2013 Nissan 370Z numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather be boring and correct. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Not convinced that's the whole story. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2013 Nissan 370Z price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2013 Nissan 370Z in San Diego with 93,000 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2013 Nissan 370Z with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “online auction photos barely show the underside,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2013 Nissan 370Z notes. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Ask for out-the-door on the 2013 Nissan 370Z with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “online auction photos barely show the underside,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in San Diego changed the 2013 Nissan 370Z comparison more than the sale price did. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Agree — and I'd add this: Call your insurer in San Diego before you fall in love with the 2013 Nissan 370Z. If they balk, that's your answer. On “online auction photos barely show the underside,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

I'd push back a little: If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2013 Nissan 370Z price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. Two 2013 Nissan 370Z quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2013 Nissan 370Z price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Call your insurer in San Diego before you fall in love with the 2013 Nissan 370Z. If they balk, that's your answer. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'd rather be boring and correct. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.
