2016 Audi A4 — ceramic coating is glossy but paint still got light swirls — Portland owner question

The coating beads well, but I still accumulated light marring. I assume wash/dry technique is the real issue. Which contact step causes the most avoidable damage?

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2016 Audi A4, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2016 Audi A4 in Portland, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “ceramic coating is glossy but paint still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2016 Audi A4 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2016 Audi A4 in Portland. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2016 Audi A4 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2016 Audi A4 in Portland. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
