2016 Audi A4 — history report shows a minor accident with no details

ShopRoadieCommunity StarterApr 25, 20262016 Audi A4 PremiumCleveland
2016 Audi A4 Premium, about 77,000 miles. Vehicle-history report lists a minor accident several years ago but does not describe the repair. Paint looks okay in photos. What should the PPI focus on before deciding how much the history matters?

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. A written buyer’s order on the 2016 Audi A4 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “history report shows a minor accident with,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2016 Audi A4 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. That's the whole play. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I would not stare at the monthly. In Cleveland, insurance quotes flipped a 2016 Audi A4 comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2016 Audi A4 in Cleveland with 77,000 miles. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.
