2016 Chevrolet Camaro — short-trip driving and oil-change intervals

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS, about 131,000 miles. The car gets lots of cold starts, idling and short trips with few long highway runs. The factory interval feels long for that use. How would you set an interval around duty cycle rather than just the odometer?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “short-trip driving and oil-change intervals,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro didn't change. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

If it were in my driveway, write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
