2017 Audi Q7 — when does GAP actually make sense?

I am financing most of the purchase and depreciation could be steep early on. How do you decide whether GAP is worthwhile versus a larger down payment or buying coverage elsewhere? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Title status is the whole conversation. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2017 Audi Q7, not a parking lot at night. I'd do that before spending real money. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Independent PPI on the 2017 Audi Q7 is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” I'd do that before spending real money. On “when does gap actually make sense,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. If the 2017 Audi Q7 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. That's where I'd start. No need to make it theatrical. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.
