2018 Cadillac CTS-V — brake fluid is old but still looks clean — Charlotte owner

Fluid looks clear in the reservoir but has been in the car for several years. Would you change based on time/moisture rather than appearance?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2018 Cadillac CTS-V owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2018 Cadillac CTS-V in Charlotte. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If it still isn't clear on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2018 Cadillac CTS-V in Charlotte. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
