2018 Chevrolet Tahoe — light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph

There is a rumble-strip-like shudder at steady light throttle in a narrow speed range. Harder acceleration or lifting off makes it disappear.

It did light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I'll poke at it this weekend.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Capture voltage while the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe in Florida. Any freeze-frame data saved? Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.
