2018 Ford F-150 — steering oscillation after hitting a sharp bump

2018 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 EcoBoost, about 64,000 miles. Certain bumps can start a violent steering oscillation that stops only after slowing down. I want a diagnostic checklist for joints, track bar, caster and wheel/tire condition rather than a stronger stabilizer first. I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2018 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. No need to make it theatrical. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2018 Ford F-150 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2018 Ford F-150 in Brooklyn, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start.
