2018 Subaru Forester — how do you set a hard auction bid limit?

ShopEnthusiast239Community StarterMay 11, 20262018 Subaru Forester 2.5iDenver
2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i, about 129,000 miles. I keep watching cars creep past what I planned because the last few minutes become emotional. How do experienced buyers set a maximum that includes fees, shipping, tax and immediate maintenance?

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2018 Subaru Forester with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2018 Subaru Forester in Denver with 129,000 miles. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2018 Subaru Forester so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “how do you set a hard auction,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2018 Subaru Forester in Denver with 129,000 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. That's my plan before I call anyone.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2018 Subaru Forester, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
