2018 Subaru Forester — is this actually a good used-car deal? — Dallas owner question

TowGalCommunity StarterApr 22, 20262018 Subaru Forester 2.5iDallas
2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i, about 83,500 miles. The online price looks competitive, but I am trying to judge the entire deal rather than the headline number. What should I compare besides mileage, history, condition and a PPI before deciding what it is worth? Mostly looking for the right next step.

If I were shopping this, in Dallas, insurance quotes flipped a 2018 Subaru Forester comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2018 Subaru Forester in Dallas with 83,500 miles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Call your insurer in Dallas before you fall in love with the 2018 Subaru Forester. If they balk, that's your answer. This is from a 2018 Subaru Forester in Dallas with 83,500 miles. Do that first. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2018 Subaru Forester quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2018 Subaru Forester numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “is this actually a good used-car deal?,” that was the fork that mattered for me. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I screenshotted the quote for later.
