2018 Volvo S90 — long crank only after filling the fuel tank

2018 Volvo S90 T6, about 134,000 miles. The car starts normally most of the time, but after filling the tank it occasionally cranks longer and runs rough for a few seconds. Could EVAP/purge behavior cause this, and what would you test? I am in Seattle. What would you check next?

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2018 Volvo S90, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2018 Volvo S90 in Seattle with 134,000 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2018 Volvo S90 in Seattle, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “long crank only after filling the fuel,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
