2019 Porsche Macan — oil level drops between services with no puddle

CityMechanicish14Community StarterMay 2, 20262019 Porsche Macan SOrlando
I started measuring the oil level every few hundred miles and it is definitely falling between changes. There is no obvious puddle and I do not notice smoke. How would you document and diagnose this instead of guessing?

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Capture voltage while the 2019 Porsche Macan is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Ask what changed right before it started. Capture voltage while the 2019 Porsche Macan is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Stop there until you know. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2019 Porsche Macan catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “oil level drops between services with no,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2019 Porsche Macan in Orlando. That's the sequence I'd use. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Move a coil or plug on the 2019 Porsche Macan if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

If it were in my driveway, two 2019 Porsche Macans can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. Do that first. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Ask what changed right before it started. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2019 Porsche Macan, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. When does it actually happen? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
