2019 Ram 2500 — coolant is old by age but mileage is low

2019 Ram 2500 Cummins, about 32,500 miles. The vehicle has relatively few miles but the coolant is several years old. I am trying to prioritize maintenance by actual risk. Would you replace based on time alone?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2019 Ram 2500 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'd rather be boring and correct. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2019 Ram 2500, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Capture voltage while the 2019 Ram 2500 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “coolant is old by age but mileage,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in San Diego with 32,500 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Capture voltage while the 2019 Ram 2500 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

If it were in my driveway, two 2019 Ram 2500s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in San Diego with 32,500 miles. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.
