I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. A written buyer’s order on the 2019 Ram 2500 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In Sacramento, insurance quotes flipped a 2019 Ram 2500 comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2019 Ram 2500 (72,500 miles) and the doc fee was the tell. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2019 Ram 2500 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in Sacramento with 72,500 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2019 Ram 2500 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “ppi found $1,800 of upcoming work,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2019 Ram 2500 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2019 Ram 2500 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2019 Ram 2500 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “ppi found $1,800 of upcoming work,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Asking because it changes the advice: If one piece looks too good on the 2019 Ram 2500, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in Sacramento with 72,500 miles. Stop there until you know. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Call your insurer in Sacramento before you fall in love with the 2019 Ram 2500. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “ppi found $1,800 of upcoming work,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I asked about ppi found $1,800 of upcoming work again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. In Sacramento, insurance quotes flipped a 2019 Ram 2500 comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
