2020 BMW M2 Competition, about 23,500 miles. There is one front-end clunk over pothole edges and driveway lips, but larger smooth bumps do not reproduce it.

If it were mine, swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2020 BMW M2 and see if the fault follows.

If it were mine, measure it if you can. Two cars can feel identical and have different causes.

I would not stop there. I would want a real battery/charging test, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module.

One thing that mattered for me: if it is cylinder-specific on the 2020 BMW M2, move a coil or plug and see whether the code follows.

Before you spend money, capture when the 2020 BMW M2 does it — temp, speed, and whether it is in gear — before replacing parts.
