2020 GMC Yukon — is this actually a good used-car deal?

OldSchoolMechanicish284Community StarterAug 21, 20262020 GMC Yukon DenaliFlorida
2020 GMC Yukon Denali, about 78,000 miles. The online price looks competitive, but I am trying to judge the entire deal rather than the headline number. What should I compare besides mileage, history, condition and a PPI before deciding what it is worth?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. Two 2020 GMC Yukon quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2020 GMC Yukon so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2020 GMC Yukon in Florida with 78,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2020 GMC Yukon and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2020 GMC Yukon numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2020 GMC Yukon and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2020 GMC Yukon numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “is this actually a good used-car deal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I screenshotted the quote for later.
