2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class — new tires are much louder than the old set

Same size and pressure, but the new tires create noticeably more highway hum. Is this usually tread pattern/compound, or should I verify balance and alignment before blaming the tire model? I am in Boston. If I figure it out I will update the thread.

Log the conditions before you spend. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “benz e-class — new tires are much,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.
