2021 Audi A6 — infotainment became glitchy after an OTA update

2021 Audi A6 Prestige, about 78,500 miles. After a software update the screen occasionally reboots and one saved setting keeps resetting. Is there a normal post-update reset procedure owners should try before booking service?

I parked the 2021 Audi A6 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2021 Audi A6 first. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2021 Audi A6 in Dallas, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “infotainment became glitchy after an ota update,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Audi A6, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2021 Audi A6 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2021 Audi A6 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Same neighborhood, different next step: On the 2021 Audi A6 in Dallas, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd push back a little: If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Audi A6, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money.
