2021 Audi A6 Prestige — new model reveal: what matters beyond the headline specs?

OldSchoolSeller76Community StarterJul 11, 20262021 Audi A6 PrestigeSan Diego
A new model just dropped and the headline numbers look good, but I'm more interested in curb weight, wheel/tire sizes, real rear-seat room, charging/fueling, repairability and what features are locked behind packages. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2021 Audi A6 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2021 Audi A6, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “new model reveal: what matters beyond the,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

OP update: scanned the 2021 Audi A6 again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Quick add on that: Leave the alerts on the 2021 Audi A6 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2021 Audi A6 so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I went back under the 2021 Audi A6 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2021 Audi A6 charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2021 Audi A6 and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Try a second charger before blaming the 2021 Audi A6 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2021 Audi A6 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. That's where I'd start. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2021 Audi A6 didn't change. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

It did new model reveal: what matters beyond the twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Yes, with one caveat: Leave the alerts on the 2021 Audi A6 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Agree — and I'd add this: Leave the alerts on the 2021 Audi A6 so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'd rather be boring and correct. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.
