2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 — is this actually a good used-car deal? — California owner question

TrackCommuter97Community StarterJul 23, 20262021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2California
2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2, about 65,500 miles. The online price looks competitive, but I am trying to judge the entire deal rather than the headline number. What should I compare besides mileage, history, condition and a PPI before deciding what it is worth?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'd rather be boring and correct. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “is this actually a good used-car deal?,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in California with 65,500 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Asking because it changes the advice: If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in California with 65,500 miles. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Yes, with one caveat: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “is this actually a good used-car deal?,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
