2021 Honda CR-V — seller will not allow a pre-purchase inspection

2021 Honda CR-V EX-L, about 70,000 miles. Car looks clean and the price is fair, but seller says they do not have time for a PPI because other buyers are interested. Would you treat that as an automatic walk-away? I am in Bay Area.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2021 Honda CR-V is enough reason to walk. Then you'll know the next fork. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. If the 2021 Honda CR-V still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. Then you'll know the next fork. On “v — seller will not allow a,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Independent PPI on the 2021 Honda CR-V is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” I'd do that before spending real money. Stop there until you know. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Independent PPI on the 2021 Honda CR-V is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” That's where I'd start. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Title status is the whole conversation. If the 2021 Honda CR-V still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. That's where I'd start. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Title status is the whole conversation. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2021 Honda CR-V, not a parking lot at night. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2021 Honda CR-V in Bay Area with 70,000 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2021 Honda CR-V notes. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
