2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC — infotainment became glitchy after an OTA update

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300, about 31,000 miles. After a software update the screen occasionally reboots and one saved setting keeps resetting. Is there a normal post-update reset procedure owners should try before booking service? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

If it were mine, I would verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC before committing to a big repair.
