2022 BMW X3 — water spots keep coming back after correction

BoxerMechanicish467Community StarterJul 8, 20262022 BMW X3 M40iQueens
Paint looked perfect after polishing, but water spotting returns after outdoor washes. I do not want to keep removing clear coat. What process change would you make first? I am in Queens. I would rather test this logically than replace parts. What would you check next?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2022 BMW X3s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Do that first. I'd rather be boring and correct. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 BMW X3 does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. That's the whole play. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 BMW X3 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “water spots keep coming back after correction,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 BMW X3 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's my plan before I call anyone.
