2022 BMW X3 — wireless CarPlay drops at the same intersection

CleanNomad410Community StarterAug 4, 20262022 BMW X3 M40iSan Diego
Wireless CarPlay is reliable almost everywhere but disconnects at the same intersection on my commute. Does consistent location point strongly to RF interference, and what would you test to confirm?

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 BMW X3 in San Diego, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “wireless carplay drops at the same intersection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 BMW X3 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 BMW X3 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2022 BMW X3 in San Diego. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I'll update if anything new shows up.

Asking because it changes the advice: If it still isn't clear on the 2022 BMW X3, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Agree — and I'd add this: A second data point from another 2022 BMW X3 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
