2022 Cadillac Escalade — 50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke?

ManualDetailerCommunity StarterJan 25, 20262022 Cadillac Escalade SportNorthern Virginia
2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport, about 24,000 miles. I just crossed 50k miles and want to log maintenance, unscheduled repairs, tire life, fuel economy, dealer visits, annoyances and whether I would buy the same car again. Interested in real owner experience more than guesses. What would you check next?

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Call your insurer in Northern Virginia before you fall in love with the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. In Northern Virginia, insurance quotes flipped a 2022 Cadillac Escalade comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Call your insurer in Northern Virginia before you fall in love with the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. If they balk, that's your answer. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Northern Virginia with 24,000 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.
