2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport — first used oil analysis — what should I care about?

ColdStartTunerCommunity StarterJul 21, 20262022 Cadillac Escalade SportTexas
2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport, about 8,200 miles. Thinking about sending an oil sample in mostly to establish a baseline. For a normal street car, which numbers are actually useful over time and which ones do people overreact to? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Texas with 8,200 miles. Stop there until you know. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Texas with 8,200 miles. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. Two 2022 Cadillac Escalade quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. When does it actually happen? That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “first used oil analysis — what should,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

If I were shopping this, if one piece looks too good on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. That's the whole play. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “first used oil analysis — what should,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Texas with 8,200 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Not convinced that's the whole story. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
