2022 Cadillac Escalade — vibration under acceleration but not while coasting

RoadHunterCommunity StarterDec 24, 20252022 Cadillac Escalade SportDenver
2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport, about 40,000 miles. The car is smooth at the same road speed when I lift off, but under moderate acceleration I can feel a vibration through the floor. What would you inspect first to separate axle/driveline issues from an engine mount?

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Log the conditions before you spend. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Cadillac Escalade does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “vibration under acceleration but not while coasting,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade first. Checking again after work.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Cadillac Escalade does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Denver with 40,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

If it were in my driveway, a pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Was this after sitting overnight? No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Ask what changed right before it started. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Ask what changed right before it started. Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Denver with 40,000 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Denver with 40,000 miles. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

OP update: scanned the 2022 Cadillac Escalade again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Was this after sitting overnight? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Capture voltage while the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.
