2022 Ford Maverick — rough idle disappears just above idle speed

NewCarNomadCommunity StarterJul 27, 20262022 Ford Maverick XLT HybridConnecticut
Idle has a slight shake once fully warm, but 100–200 RPM above idle it smooths out. No major loss of power. Would you look at mounts, vacuum leaks, ignition or fueling first? I am in Connecticut.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2022 Ford Maverick, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Ask what changed right before it started. Capture voltage while the 2022 Ford Maverick is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Stop there until you know. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

OP update: scanned the 2022 Ford Maverick again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Fair point. Counterpoint: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Ford Maverick is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2022 Ford Maverick didn't change. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Update: the cheap test changed the symptom, so I'm not throwing parts yet. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Log the conditions before you spend. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2022 Ford Maverick and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “rough idle disappears just above idle speed,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.
