2022 Genesis GV70 — is this actually a good used-car deal? — Baltimore owner

HybridDetailer526Community StarterApr 7, 20262022 Genesis GV70 3.5TBaltimore
The online price looks competitive, but I am trying to judge the entire deal rather than the headline number. What should I compare besides mileage, history, condition and a PPI before deciding what it is worth?

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. Two 2022 Genesis GV70 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Any freeze-frame data saved? Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Quick add on that: A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Genesis GV70 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “is this actually a good used-car deal?,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2022 Genesis GV70 notes. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Genesis GV70 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “is this actually a good used-car deal?,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Genesis GV70 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. That's the sequence I'd use. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Genesis GV70, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Baltimore. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2022 Genesis GV70. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Genesis GV70 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In Baltimore, insurance quotes flipped a 2022 Genesis GV70 comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Baltimore changed the 2022 Genesis GV70 comparison more than the sale price did. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Genesis GV70 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'll update if anything new shows up.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Genesis GV70 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Stop there until you know. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Call your insurer in Baltimore before you fall in love with the 2022 Genesis GV70. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
