2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE — no crank with full dash power, then it starts later

ManualDetailerCommunity StarterJun 22, 20262022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4MATICTampa
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4MATIC, about 23,000 miles. Twice I have had full lights and accessories but no crank. After waiting a few minutes it starts normally. Battery terminals look clean. What would you want to measure during the actual failure?

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE in Tampa with 23,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Yes, with one caveat: Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE in Tampa with 23,000 miles. Do that first. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
