2022 Tesla Model 3 — going one inch smaller for winter wheels

DealGeek577Community StarterJan 18, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeLong Island
I want smaller winter wheels for more sidewall. Overall tire diameter can stay close, but I am worried about caliper and spoke clearance. What measurements should be checked before ordering?

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “going one inch smaller for winter wheels,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Long Island. That's the sequence I'd use. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Stop there until you know. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. Stop there until you know. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. That's my plan before I call anyone.
