2022 Tesla Model 3 — wireless CarPlay drops at the same intersection

GarageDetailer790Community StarterApr 3, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeNashville
2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, about 25,500 miles. Wireless CarPlay is reliable almost everywhere but disconnects at the same intersection on my commute. Does consistent location point strongly to RF interference, and what would you test to confirm?

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “wireless carplay drops at the same intersection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Checking again after work.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Any freeze-frame data saved? Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 first. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Update: the cheap test changed the symptom, so I'm not throwing parts yet. I'll update if anything new shows up.
