2022 Tesla Model 3 — wireless CarPlay drops at the same intersection — second opinion before I spend money

CityNerd482Community StarterMay 20, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeCalifornia
Wireless CarPlay is reliable almost everywhere but disconnects at the same intersection on my commute. Does consistent location point strongly to RF interference, and what would you test to confirm?

If it were in my driveway, get a real battery/charging test on the 2022 Tesla Model 3, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Ask what changed right before it started. Two 2022 Tesla Model 3s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Log the conditions before you spend. Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “wireless carplay drops at the same intersection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Only after sitting overnight so far.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
