2022 Volkswagen GTI — buying versus leasing when I change cars every three years

RoadDetailerCommunity StarterJul 6, 20262022 Volkswagen GTI SECentral Jersey
I usually change cars every three years and do not drive huge mileage. I am comparing total cost rather than just payment. What assumptions make leasing genuinely cheaper versus simply more convenient? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money. What would you check next?

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Volkswagen GTI, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2022 Volkswagen GTI with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “buying versus leasing when i change cars,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.
