2022 Volkswagen GTI SE — need advice: Engine swap packaging: offset versus driveline angle

2022 Volkswagen GTI SE, about 8,200 miles. Mocking up an engine/transmission in a chassis with very tight steering and footwell clearance. I can offset it slightly, but I don't want to create driveline vibration. What measurements should be locked down before making mounts? Any data points from owners would help.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Volkswagen GTI before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2022 Volkswagen GTI first. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
