2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge — question: Surface rust underneath — treat now or leave it?

2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge, about 37,000 miles. I found surface rust starting on a few brackets and seams underneath. Nothing looks structurally bad yet. For a car that sees winter salt, what treatment actually slows it down without creating a mess later? Any data points from owners would help. What am I missing?

Salt and cold mornings punish cheap shortcuts. In Austin, dedicated winters on the 2022 Volvo XC90 paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. That's where I'd start. Stop there until you know. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.
