2023 Audi S5 — footwell gets wet only after heavy rain

DetailNomad825Community StarterOct 21, 20252023 Audi S5 SportbackNew Jersey
2023 Audi S5 Sportback, about 12,000 miles. The car stays dry in normal rain but after a long storm one front footwell gets damp. Door seal looks okay. What drain/seam tests would you do before tearing the interior apart? I am in New Jersey. Interested in real owner experience more than guesses. I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2023 Audi S5 in New Jersey, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “footwell gets wet only after heavy rain,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2023 Audi S5 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2023 Audi S5 in New Jersey with 12,000 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2023 Audi S5 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2023 Audi S5, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2023 Audi S5 in New Jersey with 12,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
