2023 GMC Sierra 1500 — intermittent hesitation pulling away from a stop

BatteryCommuter524Community StarterDec 3, 20252023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4Houston
2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, about 46,000 miles. Every few days the car hesitates for a split second leaving a stop, then drives normally. No permanent warning light. I want to know what data to capture the next time it happens.

Ask what changed right before it started. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 in Houston with 46,000 miles. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Agree — and I'd add this: Move a coil or plug on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Log the conditions before you spend. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “intermittent hesitation pulling away from a stop,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Two 2023 GMC Sierra 1500s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.
