2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 — new tires are much louder than the old set

LongMilesDaily160Community StarterMay 15, 20262023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 LimitedNorth Jersey
2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited, about 54,000 miles. Same size and pressure, but the new tires create noticeably more highway hum. Is this usually tread pattern/compound, or should I verify balance and alignment before blaming the tire model?

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 in North Jersey with 54,000 miles. Was this after sitting overnight? Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “new tires are much louder than the,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the whole play. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Any freeze-frame data saved? I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
