2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon — need advice: Good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection?

Looking at a used car locally and want a genuinely independent PPI, preferably someone familiar with this brand. What do you ask the shop to include besides a basic scan and lift inspection? Any data points from owners would help. What am I missing?

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2023 Jeep Wrangler in Detroit. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Agree — and I'd add this: Call your insurer in Detroit before you fall in love with the 2023 Jeep Wrangler. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

If I were shopping this, if they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2023 Jeep Wrangler in Detroit. The universe charges extra for guessing. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. The universe charges extra for guessing. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Jeep Wrangler so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “need advice: good independent shop for a,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
