2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC — need advice: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Agree — and I'd add this: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 in Connecticut. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal.
