2024 Audi Q5 Premium Plus — anyone else: Oil level dropping between changes — how much is too much?

2024 Audi Q5 Premium Plus, about 78,000 miles. I've started checking the dipstick every 500 miles and the level is definitely moving down between oil changes. No obvious puddles and I don't see smoke. At what point would you stop calling this normal consumption and start testing? I'm in Michigan. Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Log the conditions before you spend. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Audi Q5, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. On “anyone else: oil level dropping between changes,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Audi Q5 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Michigan with 78,000 miles. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

If it were in my driveway, two 2024 Audi Q5s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Ask what changed right before it started. Two 2024 Audi Q5s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Audi Q5, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'd rather be boring and correct. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Audi Q5, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Michigan with 78,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
