2024 Buick Envision — 50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke?

CommuterBuilder83Community StarterAug 9, 20262024 Buick Envision AvenirSeattle
2024 Buick Envision Avenir, about 14,500 miles. I just crossed 50k miles and want to log maintenance, unscheduled repairs, tire life, fuel economy, dealer visits, annoyances and whether I would buy the same car again. I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Buick Envision with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Buick Envision with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Do that first. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 Buick Envision price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Buick Envision with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Sleeping on the number either way.

I would not stare at the monthly. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Buick Envision, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. No need to make it theatrical. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

If I were shopping this, in Seattle, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Buick Envision comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Buick Envision with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Buick Envision, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2024 Buick Envision in Seattle with 14,500 miles. That's the whole play. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Buick Envision numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.
