2024 Buick Envision — costs that mattered more than fuel economy

NewCarMiles252Community StarterAug 10, 20262024 Buick Envision AvenirSeattle
2024 Buick Envision Avenir, about 12,000 miles. After owning the car for a while, tires, insurance and service pricing mattered more than the MPG difference I obsessed over before buying. What ownership costs surprised you most? Mostly looking for the right next step.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Buick Envision does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. No need to make it theatrical. I'll poke at it this weekend.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Buick Envision if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Buick Envision in Seattle with 12,000 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Only after sitting overnight so far.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Buick Envision if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
