2024 Ford F-150 — two nearly identical cars are priced $4k apart

Same year, trim and similar mileage, but two listings are thousands apart. One is CPO and one is not. How would you quantify condition, warranty, history and dealer reputation? I am in Chicago.

If I were shopping this, two 2024 Ford F-150 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Ford F-150, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Call your insurer in Chicago before you fall in love with the 2024 Ford F-150. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “150 — two nearly identical cars are,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
